New Year’s Eve Outfits Using $10 Shein Pieces!

Sharing is caring!

I’ve been at it again-Shein has some incredibly affordable pieces that I had to try with the perfect New Year’s Eve party outfit in mind. In this post, I’m featuring 6 pieces from Shein all under $10. I’m not about spending money on party clothes. I’d rather save it for literally anything else. Honestly, I was curious if I could create outfits out of these 6 Shein pieces and I’m quite satisfied how they turned out. I hope these outfits give you some inspirations for this year’s holiday parties. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to look pulled together.

This Shein sequined skirt turned out to be really pretty. The sizing is strange though. I’m always choosing a large and wear a 10-12 in pants. This skirt came in a 6 xl for the largest size and I knew the brand typically runs very small. The 6 xl turned out to fit and is actually a little loose. I would say this skirt is in-between a large and extra large. I paired it with a cream turtleneck tunic, nude heels and a nude clutch. This outfit isn’t my favorite because it is very traditional but I do like how feminine it is.

This Shein pleated skirt was so cheap. I wasn’t sure it would come together because the color is different from the picture on the site. It has turned out to be one of my favorites. I wanted to incorporate a sheer lace top but I think if I wore this to a party, I would opt for a cropped black sweater. The rhinestone and satin shoes are amazing. I wasn’t sure if they’d be any good but they are. They are comfortable and well made. They look really pretty on too. They are from Amazon and very affordable! The Moto jacket gives an edginess to an otherwise feminine look.

This Shein sequined skirt is the only item I do not recommend. It’s not awful but it’s not great either. It’s a strange fit. I ordered my regular size large and it’s flimsy, too long and semi loose and really feels cheap. I don’t recommend it and recommend THIS skirt instead. I’ve had it before and showed it in THIS post. It’s a bit better quality. I wore my oversized black blazer, a cami and the rhinestone satin shoes again. I think this skirt would be really pretty without the opaque tights and black tops. A white sweater might make this skirt a bit more visually appealing.

This shapeless blue Shein dress isn’t the best but with the right undergarments and accessories I think it turned out to be really pretty thanks to the color. I added my leopard print fur coat which I can’t say enough good things about! Matching earrings, snakeskin sandals and a glittery clutch made this outfit appropriate for any cocktail party!

I love this look! It’s the same pleated skirt as the green one above and I will say I had trouble figuring out how to make an outfit out of it due to how silvery metallic it is. My white silk cami worked nicely. I happened to throw on a chunky cream cardigan which turned out to be chic and unexpected. The cream clutch tied in the cream of the cardigan. Adding dramatic rhinestone earrings helped to make this outfit more festive and fancy.

This Shein sequined cami turned out to be so good. I love the cut of it. I will say it’s cropped but not overly so. Pairing the sequins with skinny black pants and a white linen blazer made the outfit feel more formal. My blue snakeskin clutch is old from Anthropologie but I linked several comparable ones from Amazon. This sequined top comes in many colors as well.

I have placed 2 orders with Shein in the last couple months. Both orders arrived in 5-7 days. Shipping times are definitely getting faster and more reliable. I did return a few items and returns are just as easy as an Amazon return as well as free. Refunds were prompt. Shein is controversial but I do believe Amazon is just as controversial with many items they offer. Shein offers the same exact items at over 50% less the cost of Amazon. As I stated earlier, I don’t like to spend money on items I may wear once or twice. I’d prefer to spend money on staple pieces that can be worn more often. It was fun to find super cheap, dressier items and try to make party outfits around them. I hope you’ve liked them!

xx, Jenni
