Can we just take a moment to daydream a bit? I love reading but find it so hard to stop and take the time to actually sit down and read. I find reading good for the soul. There’s just something about leaving your life behind and escaping into another world. I credit reading for getting through some pretty tough times and honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without a book to allow me to take a break from my own troubles.
I just recently ran into a few pics of places that made me want to stop what I was doing, transport myself to a rainy, cozy sunroom surrounded by books and plants, put the kettle on and my feet up and crack open a new book. As I continued to scroll I found more and more pictures of places that evoked this reaction in me. I’m not sure this post will be helpful but I hope it will inspire you as it did me to stop, relax, breath and read.
What do you like to read? I got caught up years ago in V.C. Andrew’s book and have quite the collection of the original 80’s soap operaesque book covers. I do love family drama and generational curses-lol. Lately life has been busy so I’ve looked for easy reads I can dive into, get hooked quickly and finish quickly. Colleen Hoover is perfect for that. For heart warming books I like Susan Branch and Kristan Higgins. Out of the Clear Blue Sky by Kristan Higgins is a great one. I also have read some Kristin Hannah and just picked up Magic Hour. If you haven’t read The Great Alone by her, I highly recommend it.
Happy Reading, Jenni
